Fixed Wire & PAT Testing
Fixed Wire and Portable Appliances Testing (PAT testing) are the systematic checking of any electrical equipment, services or systems which have a plug and conduct electricity in a building. These tests ensure that such equipment is safe to use.
Our qualified engineers use the latest PAT testing equipment to ensure your company’s compliance to regulations such as the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, and carry out the testing with the minimum of fuss, quickly, efficiently and thoroughly. Our engineers will interpret the results of the Fixed Wire and PAT tests to let you know whether your electrical appliances are safe to use.
A visiting Fire Officer may decide to inspect your test records. FSE is a leading fire precautions provider, so we understand the importance of not only accurate testing, but also of keeping records of equipment tests. These records provide vital evidence for future Fixed Wire and PAT tests and serve as proof of your diligence in the unlikely event that anything goes wrong.
Appliances should be Fixed Wire and PAT tested on a regular basis to ensure that your company:
- complies with the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989
- satisfies your insurance company requirements
- minimises the risk of fire and injury caused by electrical appliances
Our qualified and skilled engineers are the perfect people to do this for you and following each testing programme a complete inventory list is left on site showing the results of each item tested.
